This is not exactly the kind of New Years Day post I had planned on writing today,  but circumstances have dictated otherwise.

My uncle passed away suddenly and unexpectedly this morning and I will be tied up at least through the first of next week. To those of you who placed BOGO sale orders Tuesday and Wednesday,  your items were set to ship this coming Tues & Wed (the 5th & 6th)  but they will probably be a few days late now. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and please just send me a quick message if you have a problem with the delay so that we can try and work something out!  I know I will be able to get some work done on Monday,  just not as much as planned.

The sale will continue as planned through Sunday night, just know that it will take me a little longer than usual to send confirmation emails and reply to any questions.  Again, I apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused.

This particular uncle is my father's youngest brother and my grandparent's youngest child.  He leaves behind two sweet girls, one 8 years old and one 23 years old who is the one who found her dad this morning.  I spent quite a bit of time with her this evening and my heart just is breaking for her.

We have a lot going on right now and I really, really appreciate your patience and understanding while I take the time to be with my family,  especially my dad, grandmother and cousin.

Isn't it strange how you can be celebrating Christmas with someone one week and have them gone the next?  This has been yet another reminder for me of just how fragile and short life is.

This has been the longest I have EVER gone without posting since I started this blog.
Wow.

Things have been crazy.  Things have been hectic.  We've been sick.  But Christmas was awesome anyway.  :) { even though it FLEW by way.too.fast. } And, it was a white one, which hasn't happened in over 80 years here.  I never thought I'd see snow on Christmas in Dallas/Fort Worth, but it did happen and it was beautiful.  Once you weren't out driving in it, that is. 

I'm planning on writing a longer post here in a day or so.  I am just beginning to get caught up on things, but hopefully it won't take too long.

But I did want to get our end-of-the-year sale going here! I am ever so anxious to get new stuff up, but prefer to clear out as much of the old inventory as possible! 

The last BOGO sale we did was huge success, so how about another one?

The discount will be taken off the item of greater value, but depending on what you buy, you could save a lot.  For instance, there are many items on sale for $16.  So, you can purchase one of those and get 50% off a regularly priced item of $24 and end up paying only $28 for two things.  Not bad. It's pretty much getting one item almost free. :)

The only thing the BOGO discount does NOT apply to is TWO sale items.  No buying one $15-16 item and getting another one 50% off. Sorry,  but I do kind of like to at least break even.  ;)

There is not a way for me to set up the BOGO sale on the website, but I will immediately turn around and send your difference via a refund.

I am a water snob.

Seriously.

I only drink purified bottled water from a cooler in my house.  If I do not have access to my own water,  I buy bottled water.  I never touch tap water unless there is NO other option.  But I would drink it if it's all I had. 

Some people do not even have the tap water that I consider so icky,  much less bottled water.  Some people do not have the option to choose what kind of water they want to drink like you and I do.  They can not even conceive of being able to make that kind of choice.  It would blow their mind away.  They just want

CLEAN WATER!

I know that at this time of year there are so many charities to consider giving to with large needs that need to be met. Many of us are on a budget and though we'd love to give to them all, we just can't.  But, if you have not yet thought about where you and your family might like to donate to this year,  then maybe you could think about this?

Just $10 will get you an entry into a raffle to win a fabulous prize bundle.  But more than that,  it helps to build a well.

Sorry for the absence the last few days... I had a computer complication.  :) There is so much to mention and not enough time to fit it into one post! Hopefully I can resume more regular postings next week, but I'll just keep this one simple for the weekend.

I had planned on doing a giveaway this week, but obviously it didn't happen!  I think I'll save it for next week since I'm not sure I will be able to monitor it this weekend.

Hello December!

Happy Tuesday & Happy December!

The new holiday items are on the website finally!!! 

It is ALL ready to ship except for the SNOW turtleneck which will ship within 48 hours. I know I am a little late in getting these out, but it was a busy fall and actually, if you think about it, last year I had a 7-10 business day wait time, so even though I had holiday up sooner, things were still shipping about this time. :)

Because it is ready to ship there is a very limited amount of everything available. If you see it and you like it, I suggest you grab it!  I will consider custom orders for the SNOW set { the pieces are sold separately, by the way! } once it sells out, and may continue to carry it through January just because it is not specifically holiday but just a cute winter print. I'll try to get better pics of that one, too... Not sure what's going on with these,  but I have taken them twice already and just can't get 'em right!  Argh.
